I have dealt with depression for many years. I have participated in counseling, individual and groups, following my father's suicide when I was 16. This class has helped me to make peace with the loss of my father and the circumstances around that. I have learned how to take responsibility for my own happiness and how to make peace with my other losses. This class has done what no counseling has been able to do. I am more peaceful, a better listener, I have more tools in my toolbox so-to-speak for the relationships and interactions I have with others. I am a better person and I can now model better ways for my children. I have found my smile!!
The path this class set in motion for me was beautiful and unexpected at the best and the worst time in my life. I feel so blessed to have had the experience to release the pain of my past, and accept the choices I've made throughout my life. My relationships are richer and the life God has provided for me feels so much more meaningful. I feel empowered and loved.
